Home Heroes at the ready!
As many of you are aware, many of Baby Beat’s fundraising events have been postponed or cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic; this has had a significant impact on us.
We cannot thank those of you who have supported us with fundraising fun at home whilst we’re on lockdown and now there’s a new and exciting way you can join us and become a Home Hero for Baby Beat!
Following the postponement of the London Marathon which raises millions each year for charities, the organisers have launched a brand new #TwoPointSixChallenge and have made it their mission to save the UK’s charities. And best of you can choose exactly what you want to do to meet the 2.6 Challenge!
The London Marathon should have taken place on April 26th, so in its place, charity supporters are asked to challenge themselves in some way using 26 or 2.6 or even 260. This could be running 2.6 miles in your back garden – or 26 miles if you want to use your daily exercise – or completing 26 press-ups, sit-ups, you could take your dog for a walk for 26 minutes throw and catch a ball 26 times or even weed 2.6 metres of your garden – it can be absolutely anything!
If you want to join in the 2.6 fun, learn more about the event at https://www.twopointsixchallenge.co.uk/. Your support will help the Baby Beat team support babies and mothers being cared for at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust during these unprecedented times. https://www.justgiving.com/babybeat
