Thank you so much to Stephanie Chetter, the current Lady Captain of Lytham Green Drive Golf Club, who made Baby Beat her chosen charity for her time in office and hosted a golf day at the club last weekend to raise funds for us!
She chose Baby Beat to say thank you after hers and partner Paul’s twins, Isabella and Noah, were cared for on our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit after their birth at 29 weeks back in November last year, weighing just 2lb 11oz and 2lb 15oz respectively.
The golf day included bunker fines, a bottle tombola and additional fundraising games, and managed to raise an incredible £6,071! £5,000 of this amazing total was donated by Stephanie’s employer, Fernbank Surgery in Lytham, who showed their generosity on behalf of the care her twins, and the care that the baby of one of the practice doctors, Dr Lucy Anders, received on the Unit.
Stephanie will also be undertaking other fundraising activities for us throughout her time in office – thank you, and best of luck!
