The Baby Beat shop is open again!

Baby Beat Shop is back open

We’re so happy the Baby Beat shop is open again, and it’s been great to see so many people popping by, as well as welcoming some of our volunteers back!

You may notice our charity team has changed slightly. We’re delighted to welcome Lynn Day as our Charity Administrator, who will be looking after all of our crucial admin and banking, as well as assisting with the shop – thank you Lynn, for your hard work, making sure our funds go to the right place – to help support the babies, mums, and mums-to-be cared for here at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals. Lynn previously worked at Rosemere Cancer Foundation for 12 years, and will be an experienced, friendly face for all our customers and volunteers!

Congratulations to Lucy Clark, who you’ll probably recognise – Lucy has worked with Baby Beat for a while, and has been appointed as Charity Retail and Volunteer Co-ordinator. Lucy will be overseeing the running of the Baby Beat shop and other retail activities, as well as recruiting and training volunteers for both Baby Beat and Lancashire Teaching Hospitals Charity, and getting more involved in the fundraising.

And Cathy Skidmore has been working on a secondment as Baby Beat Manager for just over a year, but has now been made permanent. She will be focusing fully on leading the team and managing the fundraising plans to increase much-needed income after a tough year for charitable activity, as well as working with clinical staff in the Sharoe Green Unit to fund projects to support the mums and babies we care for.

So please, feel free to come and say hi – our shop is open now Monday-Friday, 10am-4pm!
