Tea Party in Memory of Arthur

Tea Party in Memory of Arthur

Thank you to Zoe Walker and her family, who held a street party in their hometown of Adlington on the 10th of July. They coincided the event with the NHS Big Tea in honour of the NHS’s birthday, and choose to fundraise for Baby Beat on the day.

Around 50 people attended the event, which included a raffle, games and face painting, and Zoe’s grandma Sheila organised an afternoon tea. The street party raised a wonderful £465!

Zoe, with help from her family, organised the party in memory of her baby son, Arthur Thomas Walker, who was born at 26 weeks in May 2018, and was cared for on the NICU at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust – she wanted to say thank you to NHS staff and particularly to the neonatal team who looked after him.
