Join us for our Walk to Remember!
During baby Loss Awareness Week, help us to raise awareness and remember the lives of babies taken too soon by joining us on our Walk to Remember around Avenham Park, Preston.
Taking place on Sunday October 10th, we, along with parents of those that have suffered baby loss, will take a one mile circular trail around the traditional Victorian parkland.
How to get involved?
Starting at 11am on Sunday October 10th from The Pavillion Café, the walk can be done in your own time and will take you by the river Ribble, the parks water features and the beautiful gardens, allowing you (if you choose) time to reflect and remember the babies lost too soon.
To raise funds for Baby Beat and its ongoing support to the maternity and neonatal units across Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, the price to take part will be £6 for adults and £3 for children under the age of 11. All children under the age of 11 will receive a Baby Beat balloon as part of their registration fee.Book your Walk to Remember place
Refreshments will be available for all walkers and all funds raised on the day will go towards supporting the maternity and neonatal units across Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
If you’d like to go a step further with your fundraising, there is the option set up your own Just Giving page or sponsorship form, but if you’d like any more information on this please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org or on 01772 524414.
About the walk
The walk will offer you, and anyone you may know who has experienced baby loss, the opportunity to speak with others who have gone through baby loss themselves, potentially offering the chance of support and help, if needed.
Many of our supporters have experienced baby loss themselves and we want to continue to build relationships with them and you. There will also be clinical staff on hand at the event.
Walkers will also be given a voucher to redeem at the end of the walk for a drink or cake of choice, so that you can continue to talk to others, enjoy the surroundings or reflect and remember those babies lost.
We hope you can join us in raising awareness and remembering the lives of babies taken too soon for Baby Loss Awareness Week. If you’d like to know what else is happening for the week, please see below:
