We’re back walking the Bay for Baby Beat!
Join us, and our Baby Beat Community, for another year of the ever-popular 6-7 (approximate) mile walk across Morecambe Bay, all whilst helping to raise funds for babies, mums & mum-to-be cared for by the maternity, neonatal and gynaecology teams at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
The stunning 3-4 hour walk, led by the King’s Guide Michael Wilson, will take place on Saturday 15th July, but like last year, we only have a limited number of places available, so don’t delay in booking yours! Setting off from Arnside and crossing the bay to Grange, you’ll be able to experience the thrill of taking on one of the region’s most stunning walks.
A fun event whatever the weather, the famous Cross Bay Walk could involve some wading through water, which means that unfortunately it wont be suitable for those with limited mobility, wheelchairs, pushchairs, or very small children, but we do have other events coming up soon that will be!
If this sounds like a step in the right direction for your Baby Beat fundraising support, then join us in taking on the challenge!
We would love for you to help raise as much as you can in sponsorship. The money raised, however small or large, will make a huge difference, so please visit Just Giving to set up your online fundraising page or click here to download our sponsorship form.
Places are limited so don’t wait to book yours. Register with us today and enjoy a breath-taking walk surrounded by our incredible charity community this summer.
We can’t wait to see you there!Book your place here...
This event is highly weather dependent and due to changes in weather our team keep updated with walking conditions on the trail and surrounding area. Unfortunately this there is a possibility the event may be cancelled at short notice.
Our guide Michael makes the final decision on whether the walk goes ahead via a weather assessment on the evening of before the event . If the walk has been postponed due to bad weather, we will update our social media channel and send out an email to the address given at time of booking.
• Please check Lancashire Teaching Hospital’s Charity Facebook and Twitter pages which will be updated regularly.
• Please check your email inbox and junk mail in the days before the event as this is how we will let you know of any changes or cancellations.
If the walk is cancelled due to the tides or weather, we will seek an alternative date to complete the walk. If this is not possible, a refund will be offered to all participants.
